There is a peace I find with the coming of the dawn A quite stillness that matches the pale morning No sun yet to glare no stars to distract Now I find my self, wondering back Back to you my love to the mornings when I knew your love We would lye awake jest past dreaming Holding each other not yet thinking of the duties that would come with the day I look back to then and smile still Are love was new and are harts naive But we would lye there and whisper of how we hoped it would be This morning, still predawn is calm, and quite the world not yet awake So a few minutes I will take and give them to you We have gone are own ways Grown up and so apart I feel no anger no hate But how I miss those times jest before the world was awake |

I remember those moments too. New love is wonderful isn't it? But always later, the responsibilities of life creep in and take over... I really enjoyed your poem! |

this was great. i liked this one a lot. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

thank you all so much for reading and replying, and saying such nice things. Glade you all liked it. Beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it’s the middle that counts. |
