I’ll always cherish the bond that we once had Heart to heart talks, tears happy and sad I’ll always remember the way we would laugh I smile and think of when you crossed my path You made me laugh at times when life was dark You found a spot in my heart where you could park I don’t exactly recall when that bond was broke Or when we shared that last laugh and that last funny joke I only know the big empty spot left in my heart That grows bigger and bigger as we drift further apart I’d give anything, to once again fill that deep hole With a friendship that’s dear, to my heart and my soul I’ve tried all I can and have grown quite blue Realizing in order to do it, it’s going to take two I still believed, times of need would be shared Always knowing someone, somewhere, really did care One day of the year, I need you most of all I thought you’d remember and maybe would call Even though time has gone by and it’s all in the past Memories and feelings on that day, they still do last My lips do not smile, I have a tear in my eye It feels that you’re waiting for a simple good bye Should I bid a farewell and move on with my life? Don’t bother to answer, I’ll not follow that strife I’ll go on as I have and do the best that I can Believe in my heart things will be fine once again |

it's hard to move on away from a relationship, especially when you are not sure you want to..this was a nice read. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Wonderful poem. This is a feeling shared by many. Sometimes it's treasured, and other times it's deserted.
