Falls Kaleidoscope
Like shattered stained glass window
Colours swept away

The leaves are all down
Ecological litter
Raked in piles and burnt

Wispy smoke burns eyes
Acrid smell assaults the nose
Crisp air reddens cheeks

Ashes rise from fire
Hover o'er the glowing pile
Like feather on wind

nice images, Dennis..I love the fall.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Dennis, you are indeed the King of Haiku. Great images, as usual.  I especially love the Ecological litter line.  Good work.

Piles, laden with wet
Golden, turning to crisp brown
Until the rains came.

Dancing in the winds
Leaving like the others, each
Reaching their life's end.

Bare trees bow to fall,
Golden dust squares every inch,
Dying in the wind.

I love autum haikus
