On one particular October day,
not the slightest bit of gray,
a shadow passed through the sky,
no one stopped to question why.

For it was well known,
that this day would come,
the day of the kind Serpen,
the day of the dragons.

This shadow was followed by many others,
friends, sisters and brothers,
for this is a day that will never repeat,
or never be beat.

The dragons continued throughout,
the day and night.
Their numbers rising,
no end in sight.

Many landed near,
the gathering inspiring awe, not fear.
A small purple dragon landed near me,
his friendliness I could see.

He took my hand in greeting,
and I smiled, at this odd meeting.
He was rather cute, gentle, and nice,
his tone not containing the least bit of ice.
---------------------------
We are friends now,
friends forever.
This friendship ending never.
If only Passions could give,
the little dragon more credit.
For his incredible poems.

I thought the little dragon deserves more attention than he usually gets. Little Spyro is truely a great poet.

*SSSSSSMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCHHHHHHHH*

Watching the poets
Passions' guardian dragon
Moves with the rhymes' flow.

Though my body be
Human, my heart and soul be
That of a dragon.

little_girl,
I agree, Spyro does not get enough credit fot the fine contribution he has consistantly made here at Passions.  His poetry is creative, thoughtful, magical and very charming! Thank you for reminding us with your tribute about a very special freind!
