A Mother's Love

I am a child only a mother could love,
One of the chosen mothers from above,
My Mom gave up her life to help me live mine,
In happy times she let me glide,
By my side as I almost died,
I was in and out of hospitals as a child,
But alone I was not,
My Mom was always by my side,
She never let me give up on my dreams,
She softened my screams,
    of pain.. of fear..,
Now it's Mom's turn to be scared,
It's become my turn to stay by Mom's side,
But the fear.... I cannot hide.

Callie~
What a sweet write.
With all the love she gave you -
you'll have no trouble being there for her.
My prayers are with your mom for health and comfort
and with you for strength.

This poem was written almost a week ago. My Mom had called me and told me that she had to go in for testing cause the dr had suspected a brain tumor. I'm happy to report that all tests came back negative and she is fine.

I still really liked the poem though so I still decided to post it.

CAllie, also glad to find out that your mother is ok. A tender and wonderfully penned verse. < !signature-->

Tender and beautiful.   A true writing of the bond between a mother and daughter.   Wonderfully done!

Callie this must have been a very frightening time indeed........that you could turn to verse is a true strength....
Glad everything is OK...
