Blank page, empty canvas Staring straight back at me Thoughts swirling in colors Confusing, refusing to be seen By any others besides me Trying to share the turmoil Putting it into words, pictures Harder then making it through Another day alone, without you One word at a time, one hour One splash of bright color And I know, that if I keep Moving on, the days will pass The memories will last forever Like the poems I write The pictures I draw, paint They'll be there to be treasured On another rainy day... The memory lives again. With a little piece of tomorrow, You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye. Because today won't last forever, And the past will only make you cry. |

Lovely poem. Although the memories may hurt right now one day you'll be able to fondly look back at the memories and smile. So glad we have the ability to create memories. Dawn |

This is beautifully written, and expresses very nicely how tricky it is to sort out all the words/colors that make the memory coherent. Thanks for sharing this. To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |
