(More "love stuff" - I'm stuck in a rut!  Sorry!)

INNER LIFE

I found my inner life in loving thoughts of you
which stir the flame of passion awaking nature’s hue.
Entwined with deep desire as vines around my soul
the feelings of your heart are all I need to know.

As sun rises in the sky casting glows of hope
it binds, holds, future steps in threads of golden rope.
Fashioned out of love, mixed through with souls as one,
it dances to God’s music, tells of work not done.

Lonely voices sing their song into the sky above,
calling as the winds on high, flying as a dove,
into the great expanse, space and time unbound,
joining with the rainbow and sliding to the ground.

Settled in the sands of now on earth’s unholy land
my life returns to me, sits restless in my hand,
and as it looks with sightless eyes into the inner core
it sees glory unbedecked with fable and folk lore.

Too bad the thought of needing you, bodies close at night,
stabs like blades of hunting knives hiding from the light
in lives parted, distant, chains binding soul to skin,
which leave me lost, lonely, my patience growing thin.

The hour-glass is upside down, time moving as the sea,
to lands that never end, light bodies living free,
but I tremble, shiver, shake, decry the mortal life
that keeps my body all alone, my tears running rife.

Second best my life of soul spells in letters “home”
behind walls of discontent, never free to roam
to gardens of your love, beds of feather down,
as earth like a mocking bird watches while I drown.

This one gave me goose bumps when I read it...   I like..

With a little piece of tomorrow,
You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye.
Because today won't last forever,
And the past will only make you cry.

This is beautiful, and well written, but oh so sad! Still, it is marvelous to have had such a love.

To love another person is to see the face of God.

Hi, Denise,

Thanks so much for your response - it's so nice to get a "wow" every now and again.

Kcs, Hello.  Thank you for responding but perhaps merely "my dream" going through a bad time.
