You wrote me a note Having no idea how Much it would mean In the rough times ahead. I found it today, And this is what it said... "If you're ever lonely, Sad and feeling blue... Then those are all the times I'm walking beside you... And if you ever need a friend, Someone who'll hold you close I'm there, reaching out my hand. I'll never let you go..." There's more written after that It's all almost the same Your words were full of kindness And then you signed your name... Reading further down the page There was one final line. Pushing into the heart of things, It seems you read my mind... I have a mask I wear a lot. It can be seen for miles. I forgot to put it back on after I read... "P.S. It's okay not to smile..."< !signature--> With a little piece of tomorrow, You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye. Because today won't last forever, And the past will only make you cry.
