Good morning to all.
Today is the beginning of the proverbial end,
During which time life as you know it will cease.
But don't worry -
You'll probably already be dead by that time.
Most everyone you know will meet a violent end -
Probably stoned or hung or maybe even crucified;
All the most popular martyrdoms shall occur,
And righteous sufferers shall abound.
Some of you will probably try to cheat death,
Either through squealing or hiding.
Your ends will be ignoble,
But you'll live longer than the others.
So say goodbye to civilized life,
For tomorrow it disappears like morning dew.
Civilization's afterglow shall linger a bit longer,
And then fade completely,
And the goats shall inherit the husk of the earth.
