If you say that you don't love me that's fine look me in the eye and say it to me again as i look at you and cry If you can say it to me then i'll believe it's true and I'll try to go on living my life pretending I don't love you I know it would only be pretending and I think you know it would because if you asked me to tell you I don't love you I don't think I could In fact I know it would be impossible what's in my heart is real so if you told me you don't love me I know exactly how I'd feel It would be like dying only I'd have to stay alive with only an empty shell continuing to survive It'd be like losing everything and having to stay a float only there's a hole in the side of my ever sinking life boat So if you don't want to be with me just remember these words i've said don't tell me you don't love me keep it to yourself instead |
