I consider myself not a Poet, The longer you read, you will know it, But the words from my soul, Oft' escape with a flow, My writing will sometimes 'ere show it. But Poetrys not such a curse, We all could imagine much worse, Than to devote some free time, To some words linked in rhyme, Delighting our friends with some verse. Please accept my humble entreaty, My skills are both lacking and needy, I'll try not to bore 'em On your wonderful Forum, As I post here my mental Grafitti! |

I knew it, I know it, You are a poet- I can see through your lies Your disguise and alibis- That you are a poet, And know it. Don't play it, just said it We know it So you have just begun But how fine you have done (so admit to yourself-) "I'm a Poet!" |

With all these replies, I have to agree! You're a poet at heart even if you can't see Your talent is shining, your gift is in rhyming, And a whole LOT better than me! I, too, here post my own humble words, And they get more applause than they really deserve, For I don't have the talent (but try to sound gallant) And try at poetic reserve. I write of dragons (I wish I was one), To say what they might do, it's really quite fun! But I still can't arrange, it sounds very strange When I try to rhyme one by one! Now do you finally see How much better you are than me? If I could write, just for a night Like you...dear Lord, hear my plea! You are a POET, Dennis! lol See? This reply doesn't even have a good meter! Little Spyro T. Dragon |

With everyone writing in rhyme it seems I must put in my time. say “hi to Dennis, hope you are fine” and settle myself for the night. Added to that in graces good light my hand now waves in delight for looking to heaven I see in my mind your words as clouds in the sky. Soft and fluffy, full of good hope, lifting and cheering my soul, mixing with blue and floating in love – do you really think I’m on dope? Don’t stop me now for I’m on a roll, sliding deep down in a hole, but sounding like an underground mole, I think it’s time I went home!! Helen |

Dennis, you will no longer be a poet when your heart stops speaking to you. Mine often does when I'm writing and typing poetry (here and in other places). --Little One |
