Haven't really decided on a name for this one, as I just wrote it last night.. *_^ maybe..

Noisic

Radio moans softly,
Its delecate tastes in music,
Not including the abomination
It's being forced to play.

Apologising profusely,
For noisic manufactured,
Courteous radio attempts to drown torure,
In crackles and wails.

Smiling my thanks to the radio,
I politely change stations,
And return the wink,
When crackles and wails cease.

Hehe, my mum was playing really baaad music yesterday, and I just thought of this, hehe.. ^^

I think Noisic is the perfect title! I knew what this would be about just by the title! Sometimes, to me anyway, the difference between 'noisic' and 'music' is my current state of mind...hehehe...I can enjoy something sometimes and other times the same thing gets on my nerves!

Lynne,

Noisic in my head
No channel selector knob
Driving me insane

I can relate to this, LOL, Nice poem!

When the veiling cloud has past
Playful shadows dance

I wish I could tune out those awful boom rap and hiphop blasts coming from passing cars with all the windows open as easily as you changed the station..

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Hehe, yeah aren't they awful?! If they chose decent music, it wouldn't be as bad that they had it at such loud volumes.. ^^ hehe, thanx pegasus..

Lynne; The title is perfect, because it describes some of that stuff perfectly...good one here!  Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Firstly, just a note that you spelt 'delicate' and 'torture' incorrectly, and secondly I do agree that your mum plays bad music especially in loud volume, or is it because your taste for music is too narrow, Lynne  .
