Take some time, if you may To walk out on the beach someday Just stroll along the water's side And feel your tension, stress subside. If you go, you may see Footprints that were made by me The last time that I walked by The water's edge, the evening sky. The setting sun, it droops so low In the sky, cast reddish glow On the sands, immaculate white In the day, and gray at night. Here your fears drip off like wax; It's here that you can truly relax. If you have them, spread wings out wide And feel your tension, stress subside. That's what I do, on those days I try to relax in so many ways Only one always works, I don't care why; To the water's edge, the evening sky. Stretch your tail out, breathe no fire; Staying here's my one desire. For here I relax, out of sight In the day, to way at night. I wish I had a beach house to go with it... |

I love walking along the beach too, and letting the waves lap over my bare feet. After reading your poem, I can't wait until the snowy winter months are over so I can go again. Joy |

Very nice, indeed, Sam. I want to find this place. Hey, who needs a house when you have a home like that? ~Gene |

We are Here! "X" marks the spot, but I really really wanna be at the beach! You made my soul ache to hear the surf Spyro! Whata beautiful poem, the water is an awesome way to unwind. Hope you get your beach house soon! *wink* ~X~ Vivian Greene ~It is not our circumstances that create our discontent or contentment. It is us.~ |

A walk on the beach can ruin a perfectly bad day!! I can think of any advice better than waht you gave. Very relaxing. (Was the line "Breathe no fire" a salute to the little dragon?) "The world is never the same once a good poem has been added to it." -Dylan Thomas |
