*this is much different than most of my writing.*

Nestled in the harbor of the deep south
Sits a state whose sheer beauty is astounding.
North Carolina in all her splendor and glory
Fills my heart with complete love and pride.

Carolina pine trees stand strong and proud
Swaying next to the dogwood trees
The red-breasted Robin sings all year long
Of her love and joy for this place.

All four seasons each a delight
Summer would have to be my favorite.
Beautiful beaches, smiling faces everywhere you go
You haven't seen true beauty, till you've seen a Carolina blue sky

Mountains sit beautiful and tall in the west
The plains and larger cities snuggled in the middle
Beaches sweep the entire east coast, where the georgeous waters of the crystal blue Atlantic flow
The intercoastal waterway with its magestic waters and sailboats, make me smile

Ocean and moutains all in one state
That is a rare treat indeed
Next trip you make
Think of North Carolina, you won't be dissapointed.

I would love to visit your State one day it sounds charming and I love the beach. I love the way you wrote this it shows your true love for where you live.

Amy, I knew that your poem would be brilliant! You are very talented, my friend. I have always wanted to visit North Carolina, Virgina and Louisiana. Your poem has convinced me that North Carolina is the state to visit first, and as you say, I'm sure that "I won't be dissapointed." Your pride shines through so beautifully in this poem. Your words have already allowed my heart to visit your state. I loved this!

Amy, a beautiful poem, rich in images. sounds like heaven on earth. I raelly enjoyed this poem, thanks for offering me the opportunity to imagine the beauties of your state that you so vividly described.
