Our house was very messy So I cleaned it yesterday I fluffed your pillow, made your bed and put your toys away. I packed away your raincoat in the closet down the hall, and washed off all the hand prints that you left upon the wall The black marks left from roller skates were scrubbed up off the floor and I’ve put away your school books that were laying near the door. I even washed your favorite shirt the one you wore that day before jumping on your bicycle and rushing off to play. Our house was very messy now its neat as it can be but I would never clean again if you were here with me. . |

Oh Debbie, No words can I find to comfort your pain, I'm sorry. Writting is good therapy and precious memories, a good topic. My heart hurts for you. Your poem, so well written. May God extend extra measure to you. Blessings, Marcy |

No, this is not about myself, but a poem I wrote about my niece who lost both her little boys in a fire. I have written several times about my nephews, Brian and Lee, who were only three and four at the time. I guess this is my way of dealing with it. my children are healthy and happy, reminding me every day of how lucky I am to have them with me, to clean up after. Thank you so much for your concern, Debbie |

Hey Debbie, this is some poem you wrote! And very moving... Happy and bright, up until the last verse--that's the mark of a truly great poet. I think I'll write a little something for your niece--if I do it, could you give it to her? I'd appreciate it! Hope to see more (and stay happy!), Little Spyro T. Thank you Little Spyro, I'd love it if you wrote something and I'm sure my niece would be touched by your compassion! I can't wait to read it! Debbie |

Debbie, Your poem touches me in ways I can't begin to describe. I liked the way you brought out the good memories of the joy you've had. Kevin |

Debbie, Excellent writing, I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose anyone close to me in a tragedy especially fire. God bless you for doing your best to try and carry on. |

debbie..this one leaves me thinking...i get so aggravated sometimes always bending down to clean up after my 2 yr old..trying to wipe up pen marks from the kitchen floor, stepping on those toys that really hurt when you step on them! ouch! finding the things that she cant seem to remember where she left them, but she's GOT TO have them! i say often that i'll be in the loony bin before shes 5...but i cant imagine what would happen to me if i lost her....i know i would not be able to go on for a long time... i feel for those who lose their children..it must be some awesome pain that i cannot fathom--and hope, never have to know.. dg "A Poet's life is on written page; a scenario to take the stage--watch..." dgvarner |

I have a four year old little boy, I don't know what I would do if I didn't have more peanut butter hand prints to wipe off the wall...your poem was very touching, thank you. You can never have too much fiction; reality can be such a bore |

Oh Debbie, what a sadly beautiful piece this is. My two boys are grown now, but I thank God everyday that I had the opportunity to chase and clean up after them. This sure did mist the eyes, and tug at the heart. Just beautiful. Bonnie |

Thank you everybody for your feedback! Caring for our children is not a duty but truly a gift from God! I'm happy that this time I was able to find the words to express how I feel! Debbie |

The careless death of a child. Heart touching, Debbie. Our society can be so cruel today... --Chibi |
