tumble-weed wind blew in a tumble-weed today wonder the tales he could share? how many miles of breeze that weed been forced to bear? dusty and dry to the bone a tumbling on down the road. must have rolled a thousand miles betcha, maybe... many a load. a piece gone off the side car must have clipped him there. little ragged and semi-crushed rolling along with narry a care. wind blew in a tumble-weed today name forgotten, you understand? just another tramp off the road bettcha, maybe...once a man. 10/95 bleeding... ditto the others' comments..love the way you set your poem in the beginning with the mention of the tumble-weed...kinda of the way a bedtime story might be started the ending was marvellous...this reader caught his breath a bit when he read about the tramp enjoyable read |

I love the easy breeze that blows the carefree tumbleweeds into our lives. Wonderfully done. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
