Fireflies all aglow In all their dazzling glory On this moonless night! Moonbeams radiate As the veiling cloud has past Playful shadows dance! D.L.White :^) |

Beautiful picture! I loved watching the fireflies as a kid...we don't get them too much here in Arizona..too hot I guess. |

I love fireflys and this haiku! This reminds me of a poem I used to love as a kid about catching fireflys. It goes something like this... If you catch a firefly And keep it in a jar You may have found you have lost a tiny star But if you let it go again back into the night You may see it once again Star bright. Yeah. I think that's right. ![]() Joy |

When I was a child,I would catch fireflies, which we called lightening bugs, and I would take the light out and place it on my finger, like a ring1 We would put them in a jar and admire them, then let them go! Brings back some childhood memories! Brenda Hall [This message has been edited by Brenda Hall (edited 06-01-2000).] |
