Henry's Diary September 4, 2000 _____________________ When I got up in sunlight's rise, The morning glowing in my eyes I stretched and pulled my muscles sore From sleeping upon rock-like floor! Ouch! I picked my knapsack up and stood, Wondering how far I could Go and still have a little strength in me To reach my home, wherever that may be. The morning makes way for mid-day, I still press on, feeling okay-- Sometime later I feel so beat; There's that soreness in my feet! Ouch! Humans' shoes I wish I had-- They've got it right! (but scales aren't bad...) I still didn't stop, though, just pressed on Way until the day was gone. _____________________ I stopped someplace to get some sleep The place I got was kind of cheap, But that didn't matter 'cause I didn't care, I just wanted a bed over there. As I slept, I dreamed and saw Something put me deep in awe-- Someone following me around, But whose feet didn't seem to touch the ground! I felt kind of troubled when I awoke, The very dry air made me choke— Good thing there was lots of water nearby, And a good rising sun in the morning sky. ____________ I set out again on my journey to find A place to call home, for my heart and mind; While I walked I got the feeling Someone was following me, concealing His or her whole body and face… When I looked all around me, I saw only space. -End of entry ____________________________________ * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I watched the poor dragon going along His homeward path, seeming strong. I only show myself to some, And to this dragon I had come, This I say to you is true— I’m looking for my own home, too. |

Thanks everyone! I actually got this whole thing from a chain of dreams I've been having...I know it sounds weird, but it's like watching a TV show, one dream after another in perfect chronological order...lol The things I 'dream up'! Hope Henry gives me some more inspiration tonight (you guys have supplied the rest! ) You're all great people (or dragons, if any of you happen to have horns, wings, and a tail) Little Spyro T. *gets kinda red* lol thanks dg! There's only one other one (September 3, not to mention Darkness) so far, but I'm still waiting for Henry to let me read his entry for September 5 (and maybe I'll get Kharóshi's entry too, if I'm lucky!) Thanks for reading!! Little Spyro T. Dragon [This message has been edited by Little_Spyro (edited 05-29-2000).] |
