Take my heart it’s here, it’s beating fast Those promises you made they didn't last These tears I cry I cry them for my love It came so fast I thought it from above But now there is a shroud surrounding you My lungs exhale the air I breath is blue The time you bent and kissed my wanton tears You crucified me and left me with my fears Securing warmth your body …..Next to mine Desire percolates my mind like vintage wine The sea in there dissolving in my head They meant so much the words that you once said The thorn of love had pierced my willing side In passion spent I cannot run and hide Your gentle soft and melting longing flesh My ardour rose the scent was sweet and fresh We floated out into the Promised Land But grains of hope are lost in drying sand I gambled all my cards the game was lost With raging love I pay the unknown cost The highway long is calling after me But thoughts of you they won’t set me free Like the Devil quelled in shame I now stand Please let my conscience hold and kiss your hand Jon Mewett Well folks this is a snapshot of a memory.
