Bird of Prey Majesty of flight launched from aerie perch high on the cliff, nestled in rock. Wing tastes the whisper as eye scans below a hunting from above. Treetops conceal the hunter as the very air she rides off to her market, she goes. As movement is sensed an arrow she becomes silently down she strikes. Small, terrified scream deadly talons do pierce success wetting her claw. She climbs in the wind with struggling weight triumphant she soars. She circles her home hungry nestlings demand her prey...still at last. Her beak portions out brood’s survival secure as lunch with a view is served. 5/00 bleeding... "Tis ink coming from his arm, Captain!" |
