the Clown My clown is crying again, Mother why is he always so sad? Aren't clowns supposed to laugh tell jokes, fall down, and be glad? Why does my clown cry, Mother isn't he happy living here alone? His tears make his face so ugly can't he just pretend this is home? My clown is drinking again, Mother why do you let him do this to me? He is supposed to keep me laughing but he's always crying to be free. Will you make him stop it, Mother his sobs make me sad and afraid. Won't you fix my poor, broken clown make him be happy, make him be brave? My clown is crying again, Mother please make him dance and smile. My clown is being a bad, bad clown Mother, please put him away for awhile. 10/95 bleeding... "Tis ink coming from his arm, Captain!" |

This is excellent writing using the clown as symbolism. Even though it is sad, I love it. |

Very sad, but symbolic. Good one, Daniel. Life defines no more than what it is you ask for. April 20, 2000 Alicia A. Renzelman |
