The Questions I Ask of Me... Why do you always need and explanation, not all your questions will have answers- some things are just meant to be... Can't you-just once allow yourself the kindness- that you constantly give away... looking for that desperately needed connection- the inspiration to get thru another day. Always looking to others...to find acceptance, inclusion- searching their words for your self worth-needing some sign of redemption... not noticing in your efforts to find sweet absolution- you let your own needs and desires-become the exemption. Why are you so hard on yourself- never completely satisfied... couldn't you allow yourself some inner peace- and find some contentment-in just knowing that you tried. You walk around--day to day-pretending not to feel the ache, and wrap yourself in the illusion of "comfortably numb," not allowing old wounds to heal, or your heart to feel... keeping a safe distance from pain-you are sure is yet to come. Can you let go of the anger and grief- for the things that have been taken away... and accept-without resentment- that some things just simply wont go your way. Will you allow your heart to love yourself- the way you love others so easily, and can you now-at last-accept without question... and need no explanation... somethings are just meant to be...
