I'm going home for Christmas,
To family gathered round,
To warmth and love,
And memories,
That nowhere else is found.

It's where my childhood lives,
Deep in the drifted snow,
In popcorn garlands
And gingerbread,
And a fireplace aglow.

I'm going home for Christmas,
Where mittens hang in rows,
And snowmen smile
Near every home
As children warm their toes.

I'll be there on Christmas Day,
The presents piled high,
Though all I want
Is memories
To look back upon and sigh.

Kris

Sounds like you have a lot of memories already, Kris. Beautiful work. Are you going to show it to your family?
