 Tis The Season Tis the season full of cheer It's a wonderful time of year Holiday season is in full swing Christmas songs people begin to sing Children's eyes are open wide As they walk by your side Their minds are full of joy As they look for new toys Crowds of people rushing around Searching for gifts all around town The weather outside is blistery cold Adventuring outside means you are brave and bold But people should keep in mind The purpose for this season And it's important reason Jesus was born in this time of year For his father loved him dear So this season, as you celebrate with family and friends In different holiday trends God created this holiday season Remember this and the reason. This brought back instantly a memory of walking the Chicago streets at Christmas time...my first time ever to visit there at 18, a newlywed...I don't know why that thought came to me, perhaps it is because of the lightness from your poem...the sparkling cheer...the gift of lift that you have created... thank you for that brief moment...
