The holidays are upon us, Christmas is drawing near. But do we still remember what brings the holiday cheer? Is it all those pretty packages tied up with a bow? Or all the fancy stockings hung on the mantle in a row? Could it be the Christmas tree docorated so bright? Or children knowing Santa will visit them tonight? It seems these thoughts have taken o'er what Christmas ought to be. So sit right back and let me tell what Christmas means to me. Imagine walking down the street, with family and friends, Enjoying every moment, the happiness never ends. And all throughout you hear the sounds of music ever sweet, People laughing everywhere and nothing but smiles you meet. This is true rejoicing, hearts all warm within, Remembering that night so long ago where it all began. "Away in a manger no crib for his bed, The little Lord Jesus lay down his sweet head". This is where Christmas came right from the very start, It's not in all those packages; it's deep inside your heart. So as you go out shopping and bake pumpkin pie with spice, Remind yourself that Christmas always begins with CHRIST! Debbie L. Hoskins |

This was great. Very well written. SO beautiful!  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

Thank you both for your ever so kind words. I see so many people who forget the true meaning of Christmas and never want to be like that. So, I guess, this was written as a reminder for myself. Merry Christmas to you both!!! |
