I can't imagine being alone and homeless at christmas. I am lucky. Spare change for Xmas Spare us some change ? I'm so alone People discard me On there way home Tomorrow morning There up opening gifts While I find some warmth In the hall by the lifts They clear up the rubbish Fill up there bins With boxes I could use To spend a night in Kids pray for snow Great fun for all One more bad winter Will be my downfall I don't feel well I'm feeling so cold My legs have gone knumb My body is old Christmas alone 5 years its been Sitting in this place Feeling cold and unclean Someones coming He looks in my range Last chance today Spare us some change ? A chilling reminder of those less fortunate than ourselves at a "giving" time of year. Very powerful and thought prevoking words, enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing. Regards Olias |

Wow this was a powerful poem!!! Reminds us all to give give give this upcoming holiday season I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

A very real reminder that not everyone is so fortunate as to have a home and family to go to at what is supposed to be the most joyous time of year. It's nice to see others who have a heart for the homeless. Well done. |

If I could have I would have helped this man. I'll remember your poem when I'm out Christmas shopping. Elizabeth |

Thanks for the replies, it is nice to hear people who also realise there are less fortunate people than ourselves. I moan sometimes but I know things could be alot worse. "shun the frumious Bandersnatch!" Killer222 :) |

A great piece portraying the flip side of all is merry and bright. I remember finacially trying times when I felt so alone even though I had a home and family. Well done. |
