A MESSENGER

I am a messanger by trade
and I work for a wonderful Boss
I deliver messages sent by Him
at any risk,chance or cost

I delivered a message long ago
to a young lady in her teens
I told her she would have a baby
by really unusual means

She bowed her head and cried
until the complete message was told
then she rejoiced in gladness
for the miricale she would behold

The office was really busy that day
no sooner did I return to be sent out again
I delivered a message to her man
telling him soon a new life would begin

The messages were filed away
under births on Christmas Day
and an attachment  read "when this time comes
send the rest on there way"

So on Christmas Day
I found shepards flocking their sheep
I have a message for you taday
the King is born & they started to weep

The next message was an in-office memo
that was given to all the employees
The Boss was every so happy it read
for His Son was just born you see

All messengers got together
and sang in harmonous tones
that the Son of God was born this night
no greater day could ever be known

You see my job is wonderful
I carry Good News were ever I'm sent
My Boss wants the world to know
His Love is True and really meant

So don't you be surprised someday
to recieve a message from me
for messengers are everywhere
God wants them to be
