~ A Prayer of Thanks ~ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Thank you Lord for giving me the strength to be so strong - and for helping me to focus clearly, on what's right, not wrong... I strayed awhile Lord, looking with my selfish heart - All the while knowing, you were there, the missing "part". No man can fill the emptiness, this world bestows on me - and I know that you're my guide, whom if I'll follow, I'll be free... I've wandered for so long, trying to find it on my own, yet your loving hand was gentle, pointing me toward my home. Others tried to fall me, justifying sweetest sin - Their needs far more important than your will - they never win... I stood my ground within my heart, keeping you in sight - And I'm reaping my reward now, as I stand here in your light. I've finally found someone who loves you, just as much as me - Who indeed won't tear me down, but instead he sets me free... His eyes are on you Lord, and I'm thankful for his love - You knew just what I needed, and you sent him from above. Together now, we follow you - our beacon in the night - and I thank you for restoring Lord, to me, my long lost sight...
