(This is dedicated to my friend Pepper{Shannon}) < !signature-->PAIN IS SOMETHING GOOD THO' WE'RE NOT PRONE TO CHOOSE IT, WE WOULD BE MOST UNFEELING IF WE SHOULD E'ER LOSE IT. FOR IT'S A PART OF HUMANNESS WHICH NO MACHINE APPROACHES, IT TELLS US THAT WE ARE ALIVE THO' PAIN, OUR PEACE ENCROACHES. IT SERVES A NEEDED PURPOSE IT SOUND'S A WARNING, TOO, MAYBE MORE CAUTION'S NEEDED IN WHAT WE SEEK TO DO. IT IS A HUMBLING FACTOR IN PAIN WE OFT' BOW LOW, AND RECOGNIZE OUR NEED OF GOD HERE IN THESE REALMS BELOW. "PAIN,PAIN, GO AWAY" (I DON'T NEED YOUR KIND), THAT IS WHAT I USED TO SAY-- IN A LESS PERCEPTIVE TIME. NOW, IN IT FINDING WORTH I SAY "PAIN, PAIN, SPEAK TO ME," (THEN TO IT'S MESSAGE I ATTUNE) "IS THERE SOMETHING I SHOULD SEE?" THUS PAIN CAN BE A BLESSING AND LEAD TO OTHERS, TOO, E'EN TO KNOW DIVINEST COMFORT AND THUS OUR HURTINGS SOOTHE. PAIN IS A BLESSING IN DISQUISE BUT ONE NOT SIMPLY TO EMBRACE, THUS SEEK IT'S BENEFIT BEFORE YOU SEEK IT'S PRESENCE ERASED. "GOD GIVES- but man must open his hand." (German Proverb) [This message has been edited by deleeme (edited 05-10-2000).] |

David; this is a lot of food for thought. Acceptance is the only answer and then finding the message or learning the lesson. Romans 8:28. Well written and full of insight and wisdom. Always your poems glorify His Name and Word. Ellie 02 |

David, Once again, your unique perspective has shed light and understanding on something we try to avoid, PAIN. The wisdom of your words ring true, we can learn from many teachers if we are wise. Pain teaches patience, endurance, hope and appreciation of those who share our pain. This is SO WELL written! Dear Pepper, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Peace unto you my Sister. Dennis :^) |

Wow David - I never thought I'd be saying that anything about pain was beautiful, but...this is. It gives a whole new insight into what usually is not welcome at all. Your perspectives are always teaching me something new. Thanks, Bonnie |

No, we would not choose pain, but as you said, it is a blessing. His glory is magnified by our weakness. Beautifully said David! |

oh so very well said my dear. Pain is no evil unless it conquers us. God bless! Grandma Amy ``Some have learnt many Tricks of sly Evasion, Instead of Truth they use Equivocation, And eke it out with mental Reservation, Which is to good Men an Abomination. '' - Benjamin Franklin |
