As I made my way to the hidden glade,
I noticed the sparkling dew,
Kissing the just born roses,
In this place where not much grew.
The scent of lilacs filled the air,
As I neared the pond ahead,
I could see the little tree frogs,
As they lept from their mossy bed.
Continuing on my morning hike,
There was movement to my right,
I looked, and then I stood in awe,
At this cherished, beautiful sight.
Right there in the meadow,
The purest light I've ever known,
I thought that I was by myself,
Now I saw I was not alone.
My Lord was surrounded by violets,
Feeding bunnies and fawns from His hand,
Soft melodies drifting in and out,
From His unseen angelic band.
As I drew a little closer,
He stood and beckoned me,
Robes of billowing, blinding white,
There for all to see.
As I looked into His knowing eyes,
I saw such loving grace,
The mercy felt for His children,
Etched so deeply on His face.
I fell to my knees - unworthy,
But He gently helped me to stand,
I could hear the angels singing,
As He tenderly took my hand.
He whispered softly loving words,
That dissolved my every fear,
Renewed my faith and filled my soul,
As I watched Him disappear.
Doves spiraled into the heavens,
On this glorious day that He made,
And I'll never let go of what I found,
Right here in His hidden glade.

Dear BSC,
What a lovely poem, the words just reached out and touched my heart. I could feel the presence of my Lord. I could see Him feeding bunnies and fawns. It gave me chills to think of meeting the Lord and having Him take my hand. It's easy to see that He has touched you.
Love,
Erie

BSC~
This is certainly pretty.
What a tender concept.
Someday I want to be in God's meadow.
Thank you for sharing this.

Bonnie this is so beautiful! I know we use that word so much in here, but for a lack of a better one I have to use it. I read this aloud to my daughter, I find your work so wonderfully written, perfect in flow, and excellent in message.

You should really look into getting your work published. We have a forum about that too, you should check into that. I know Ruth had posted a few places you could send Spiritual work to.

Bonnie,
You write with such enchantment-we are really drawn in to the loverly scenes you are capturing and painting for us with your poets pen.  Very lovely, indeed.   David
