Prophecy Enacted Jesus of Nazareth died at Calvery, they crucified him for all to see. The Romans laughted and taunted him, the scene at Golgotha, was, quite grim. His true brethren stayed with him there, Mary and the other women knelt in prayer. Why would their Saviour be treated like this? Judas Iscariot sealed his fate with a kiss. At the end, he asked his Father, why? Why He had forsaken him and left him to die? They took his body to the tomb, wrapped him in linen and left in gloom. On the third day he arose from the dead, the prophecies were enacted, just as they read. 2-14-96 "The grace of the Lord be with you all." - Rev. 22:16 "Oh that I had wings like a dove! For then I would fly away and be at rest." - Psalm 55:6 Erie |

Thank you for resurrecting your poem for us to read and enjoy now. You have put the matter simply in unmistakable pictures and words. Jesus' death was not just some tragedy- but destiny-just as is His empty tomb-in true fulfillment of all that had been prophesied concern it. Well done, David |
