Poem....  I'll Never Say Good-bye
      In memory my beloved husband
       Glenn E. Kimmel 3rd ( Butch )
               ________________

Walking alone inside I cry, I'll never say good-bye
I love you Butch I always will, till the day I die!
First and last, First and always, First forever yours;
Taken abruptly my beloved husband,
Who's to wipe my tears?

Word's seem useless, inconsolable, mere symbols of the mind;
My only solace your untimely death,each moment the hands of time.
Moments of pleasure,oh such pleasure,more than I hoped to dream;
So many beautiful precious moments, together we were a team.

A silence embraced, each other's eyes,seeing each other's love;
Our's  a union, a higher plain,comforted each other's  hugs.
Thirty-one years, blissful marriage,enduring ups and downs;
True each other even till death,You never left me down.

What say you darling? How are you dear?
I miss your ever so much;
Hear my plea, come back to me, let me feel your touch.
End my pain, give me peace, your death,my Exodus
I hurt my darling , I need you back, My mind's a terrible fix

Tranquility return if just a moment, touch me in my dreams;
Let me feel your tender body, help me through my pain;
We never got to say good-bye, It's driving me insane.
Let me see your loving face, pretend it was just a game.

Fleeting visions,happier times, insanity slips away,
Passing thoughts my loneliness,images of yesterday;
Reality hits, you're really gone, I live another day,
God has really taken you home, I kneel before Him and pray.

All is well,it's alright now ,I'll see you again someday
Heaven's plain, God's golden gate,
He came to me as I prayed.

Told me to set my fret aside, not to worry My child
You came to Christ, and asked Him in, I'll join you in a while;
Said to me , You will unite,  I'll help your through this trial!
Not for long your separation, your husband's  safe at home,
You have my promise you'll see him child,
In Christ he did atone!

Annette~

'We never got to say good-bye'

I believe this is the saddest refrain anyone can 'not hear'~
It's happened too often in my life ...
and the sting of it lays heavy on my heart~

Each day I make time to remember ...
just as you have done ...~

'They' say 'it gets easier' ...
but, I haven't found that to be so ....
I think that without the promise of that wonderful re-gathering beyond ... it would be even harder to bear~

A poignant entry into a loving family of poets and friends~
Bless you my friend~
*Hugs*

Annette:
I am so sorry for your loss, and i really don't have much experience with it.  Your poem did touch me, and it's wonderful the kind of faith and trust you have in our Lord.  Many people would be questioning and doubting God at a time like this...but instead you live with the hope the you will see your Butch someday. Let me share these words with you in hope that they will be some comfort for you:
"What a day that will be
When my Jesus I shall see
When I look upon His face
The one who saved me by His grace
When He takes me by the hand
And leads me to the promise land
What a day, wonderful day that would be."

Annette live in faith...for that wonderful day is closer than we expect. God bless you
