It's In GOD's Word "The lion and the lamb as one," I've heard it said. I'll see it done. You say, "It's strange and most absurd, The oddest thing that you have heard?" I've heard it said. I'll see it done When man and Jesus live as one. The oddest thing that you have heard, "Peaceful lions?" It's in GOD's word-- When man and Jesus live as one, Peace will reign beneath the sun. Peaceful lions, it's in GOD's word, With fearless lambs--Please be assured! Peace will reign beneath the sun When once at last GOD's reign's begun With fearless lambs, please be assured, Who live with Christ as one big herd. When once at last GOD's reign's begun, The lion and the lamb as one Who live with Christ as one big herd Will walk the earth. It's in GOD's word. -Lighthouse Bob [This message has been edited by Lighthousebob (07-09-2002 04:57 PM).] |

![]() ![]() ![]() BRAVO!!! Oh Robert, this is wonderful, sweet friend, I just love the wonderful words you craft, I have always seen the lion as a courageous and loyal companion and being tame and sensitive who only strikes when it has to for the pride and love of others! (smiles) This is a beautiful symbolic poem, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Robert, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

The style of this verse is captivating (2nd line becoming 1st line in next stanza) and the truth brought forth is awesome to think about. To me it implies there will be no human enemies then either, or maybe that's wishful thinking. Thanks for sharing your talent to highlight God's word. Rae |

Joyce, This poem is kind of like a Villanelle, but was inspired by Grubbymitts poem titled "Insanity" which is actually a Pantoum. In a Pantoum, the second and fourth lines in the first stanza become the first and third lindes in the next stamza. Why I think you thought this poem was a Villanelle was because I use only two rhyme schemes throughout the whole poem which is characteristic of a Villanelle. One big difference that marks a Villanelle from a Pantoum though is that most of the stanzas in a Villanelle are only three lines until you get to the last stanza which is four lines. A Villanelle is pretty darn hard to write, and yet needs to remain pretty easy to read. I'll try to dig up one that I've written or write you a new one, because I think that might be the best way to expalin one. GOD bless. -Bob [This message has been edited by Lighthousebob (07-11-2002 12:19 PM).] |
