Elysian Fields

Today, I see the world burning before my eyes
Withering away slowly, but surely
The world is a dream; a black silhouette

Yesterday, I saw people wondering about
Walking around oblivious, and unconscious
The people are an illusion; an erroneous mirage

Tomorrow, I behold death one day closer
I see reality one day nearer, and widespread
Death is imminent; hereafter is our substance

The hollow years of our lives are now
The eternal life of our being is beyond
After God delivers unto us; our salvation

Stryder,

W E L C O M E.........

Oh, I love your Grand Marquee entrance, but I love your poetry even more.  WOW!!!!  We truly are blessed after Death as we are in Life.  The imagery of the black silhouetted planet that once was is fabulous.  Thanks for replying to my post.  GOD bless and again Welcome to "Passions."

This is wonderful.  You not only have a great command of the poetry process but also of posting.  How in the world did you do that?  Joyce

Thank you all for your tender words.  I already feel very welcome here, and even loved.  Your kind expressions have overwhelmed me with jubilation, and soaked my weary eyes.

I’m looking forward to sharing my words with you, and to all of you sharing your words with me.  May you be enlivened by my words, and may the same token be conveyed unto me by all of you.
