Everlasting Days

It's dawn and in the east I see
That God in His great artistry,
Has brushed such colors in the sky,
No one could paint or even try!
The stars, unable to compete
With rising sun, make a retreat
And one by one, they douse their light.
The shadows flee into the night
That still remains, off to the west
And following each ocean crest,
Find lands where darkness slumbers still,
Across each high and lasting hill.

The flood of light moves through the day
And reaches countries far away,
To bring them what we have to share
And warm the people waiting there.
So night is chased from shore to shore
And then returns to us once more.
It is a cycle God has sent,
To bless the land and firmament.
Symbolic of His constant goal
To chase all darkness from each soul!
His love is everlasting too,
A perfect gift to me and you!

Trillium,

Exquisitely written in perfect meter...  Though we can't compete with GOD's artistry, your poetry here paints a beautiful portrait of Light.  Again, very good flow and word choices you've created here.  GOD bless you.
