My prayer ascends
to the blue-gray heavens,
peace-pipe pointed towards
a slightly hidden Moon.
Hear my prayer, Great Spirit.
Hear the words of my heart,
the silent prayer in my song.
Be with me, take me
into Your bosom.I am
offering you my every thought,
my every desire. O' Great Spirit,
hear the soft moon of my soul;
for I need Your light
to prepare my paths, to go before
my journies into the strange,
the new.I offer this feather
from an eagle; so that I might
soar into the blue-gray
of Your spirit-realm.Make me
as the eagle soaring over
mountains and valleys,
resting only when Your wind
lifts my prayer-wings higher
that they may always
