glistening gem-like in the heart.
I see You as the Faithful One.
You as the Morning Star.

Yet, I know You are as close

It is not that You have drawn away;
but that I have focused
upon other things, other loves.

Still...I see You as
the glistening Sapphire in the night
sprinkled with hopeful stars,
ernest galaxies.And, I know
that You are the Creator.
Your breath gently blowing the planets
into their destined orbits.
I see Your steadfast love
in this world's very existence.

You are the Sapphire of the night
so exquisite, so immense.
And, here I am viewing You
from a distance, when all You want,
is to cradle me in the unmatched
gentleness of Your loving arms.
