Did you ever wonder?
upon your final resting place
what epitaph shall grace?
autumns hymn of praying leaves

Beneath the snowflakes in winter
within the old testament
of cherry blossoms in spring
within the suns angelic wings

Thou shalt read
within the garden of my peace
the words from Psalm twenty third

"The Lord is my Shepherd"

the most beautiful Psalm
I have ever heard

You are right it is a beautiful psalm.  No, I don't worry about what will be said at my death as long as i inspire kind words with my life.  Love, Joyce

I wasnt really speaking of what was said but what was engraved upon
the tombstone...i guess because i am thinking of buying plots
in the same cemetery where my sister is buried...made me think if i wanted something on mine other than my name..
Lots of funeral homes now pre plan funerals..taking the burden
off loved ones during the time of grief...thank you Joyce for visiting..
appreciate your comments...

Yes, it is a Psalm of great comfort that has brought comfort to so many souls in need... and your poem is one of comfort as well as I read those wonderful words once again in the garden of my mind.  "The Lord is my shepard; I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in the green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters...

God bless you,

-Bob
