God's Birds God made the turkey buzzard. The feathers black and gray. Then He made the head bright red To brighten up the day! He made the clumsy booby In a funny type or two. Added to their silliness, By making some feet blue! He made birds orange and emerald. Some a sunny yellow, But when we see the macaw, There's a gaudy fellow! He made them in all sizes. In every lovely hue And added gifts of singing, To pleasure me and you! When he chose an example To show His tender care, It was the lowly sparrow, When falling through the air, That illustrates He's always Watching everywhere! God certainly created a large array of physical and personality traits in the birds but He chose the simple qualities of the sparrow to confound even the wise. It is amazing how God in all of His great glory still has the time and ability to take notice of even the simple and place them on such a wonderful pedestal as found in His own word. A very creative and enjoyable poem. -Bob |
