Isabel The FaithfulIsabel the faithful would never be deceived Though she had miscarriaged yet Issy still believed She tried and tried again until her dream came true When she became pregnant with fetuses of two. Doctors said, "Abortion, these ones will take your life!" But Issy still believed though words cut like a knife. I will confess to you, "Faithful until the end!" Because I prayed for her and Issy was my friend. I brought her to prayer groups if only by her name And all who knew of her thought of her just the same. Though we disagreed in our knowledge of what's right, We could not depend on what seemed to be in sight. Many times scares would come with bleedings premature But with faith of Issy, nothing could be for sure. We prayed for those babies that God would keep them whole And if life was taken that God would save their soul. Looking back through the years where my belief begins, Perhaps my faith started when Isabel had twins. -Robert E. Michaud Jr.- |

Bob; This is so beautifully written, and who of us ever know what Wonders of God will be just the thing to infuse us with that gift of faith! A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

I was just searching through and found this gem of a poem. I had to comment for two reasons. First, it is well written, and second, it was posted two days before my daughter Isabel was born. I even thought about not going through with it. Anyway, thanks for the special connection and the good writing. |

Apachecat906, You can't beleive how much your response thrills my heart. This is exactly why I write spiritual poetry. I just never know why I am inspired to write when I am and for who my poems are intended... and when they'll be read. I am so proud of you and I am thankful for your dear child named Isabel. It never ceases to amaze me how God can take such a simple gift like writing poetry and touch someones heart in a unique way as this poem has touched yours. It is truly amazing.
