Out Of The Wilderness

I dwelt long enough on the mountain
stirring the darkness,
where everything is unknown
with silver and gold and useless possessions
fearful  barren days
became an obsession
my pleading bones weep
imploring me to seek
in the cool wind among the standing timber
I heard a choice presented in soft gentle whispers
like one dried leaf
I fell to my knees
now I walk in the presence of light
the wilderness is withering away
as I seek his face and vow to pray
a soothing  of soul and mind I claim
strength to endure
with HIM I remain
he holds my hand as I walked this  path
sustained by grace
among thousands of things
for emptiness stirs not,
the souls heartstrings
