As you can plainly see,
Not afraid of the dark
Like I once used to be.
Nothing scares me now."
He said so proudly,
Yes, too grown up, too soon
Such sift change amazes me!

Too big for his own britches
Too smart for his own good,
You can't tell him nothing
(Like a member of the Hood.)
He's bent on his own way
Says,"I Could," but not "I Should"
And his Life with Darkness fills
Claimin it's but adulthood.

Oh for the Heav'nly Wisdom
That he surely needs,
But seeking worldly pleasure
The Truth he will not heed!
But what will be his Harvest
For sowing of "Wild" seed?
Does he realize just
Where all of this will lead?

Be afraid of Darkness
To it, don't be a friend,
Rather walk in the Light
To it, your energies lend.
For Darkness embraced
Will to a Devil's Hell send,
Do you like it that much
You'd never wish it to end?

Afraid of the the Dark?
Well, you'd better be,
Be not ashamed of the Light
Given for all to see.
For God, Himself is Light
And He would enlighten thee,
Today and for all Time
Even through eternity!

Every Day's a Blessing
And Gift-Wrapped from Above,
Share it with another
And Spread the Father's Love!!!

May You come to Know His Best Blessing

I liked the quotes at the beginning of your poem... very original. The poem as a whole holds much wisdom and offers us all a better way. Yes, I have too chosen the Light and it's promise of everlasting Life. Again, a very profound write. Bob <><
