Text:  I Kings 2:1-4

S eeing King David was dying
H e sought to show Solomon,
O f how he should live in his stead
W hen his father had thus passed on.

T he way of all the earth
H as come to me, you see,
Y ou die and go to your fathers
S o Son, it shall be with me.
E xercise your faith in God
L ive life with Him in view,
F ear Him, yea, all your days

A nd let your indiscretions be few.

M y Son, as I now pass on,
A s my chosen, in my place you stand
N ow, go show thyself a Man!

No Better Place do I know
Than where Hearts knit as
one,
For in that grand
experience,
The Better ALL become.

God Bless us All!!!

Dear Brother,
You share so well the wisdom that King David has passed on to his son. More Fathers need to teach such wisdom to their sons, myself included. Thanks for the example and inspiration, Love, Brother Dennis :^)

David; How wonderfully the scriptures teach us all the wisdom we need. You have put it beautifully in your own gifted poetic way...Ellie

You are certainly a master of this form of poetry. Always so enjoyable and so informative too. I applaud the way you weave your message into the poem.

David,

In my book, you've put your signature on Bible Acrostics.  Seems like Solomon heeded his father's good advice in finding great wisdom and understanding from God, and ultimately what we do with the wisdom and knowledge that God gives us will be rewarded at the end of our lifes jouney. I do want to pass on a good heritage to my children as well.  Yes, let us be men of integrity before God.  Bob <><
