I had an opportunity to become a child again for a brief moment yesterday on my second grader's field trip. I hope this poem will bring you some youthful memories as well. Bob <>< Field Trip From a yellow bus headed for the sun on a sandy beach, "We are having fun!" Dipping in tide pools with both hands and arms looking for treasures, "Nature's lucky charms!" I found a starfish sitting in a pool looking through algae, "Teacher, shells are cool!" Feeling hermit crab tickling down my spine climbing up my neck, "Can't I make him mine?" Eating our sack lunch right there in the park filled with happy thoughts, "Can't we stay 'til dark?" Watching ocean waves sweep our cares away as we waved from bus, "We'll be back someday!" -Lighthouse Bob [This message has been edited by Lighthousebob (edited 06-14-2001).] |

Yes. I enjoyed you enjoying the kids at play. Kids sure do bring happy moments, indeed. Thanks. Melton |

"unless you become as a child..." and didn't you have a grand time? Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

This sure brings back the memories, Bob. Thank you for sharing it, my friend. I'm sure it was as much fun for you as it was for your child. All writing comes |
