When Men Lived To Marry (Judges 21) Daughters of Shiloh danced near Tabernacle Hill at the "Feast of Shiloh" where Benjamites stood still. Waiting in the vineyards, bold warriors made their pick of the girl they wanted... though Shiloh girls were quick. Running for their favored, wild girls ran hard and fought but brave men persevered for the wife whom they got. Oh, it was a battle for ages to aspire when every girl that danced was object of desire. Yes, fathers did get mad and made their federal case, but church elders replied, "For us, please show them Grace." Because the way of life was one of compromise, the world lived in a state, "What's right in your own eyes." The Benjamites were saved thus no tribe was destroyed when men lived to marry then God was overjoyed. -Lighthouse Bob [This message has been edited by Lighthousebob (edited 06-13-2001).] |

Bob; You have a wonderful way of poetically interpreting scripture! Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |
