As the light of day gently ended
And evening shadows crept in,
Dusk settled over the crocus,
Night was about to begin.
The ebony sky was filled with stars,
A crescent moon softly glowed,
Doves were singing sweet lullabies,
As down the path we strode.
Tenderly You took my hand,
And walked with me this night,
Softly through the violas,
That reflected the moon’s soft light.
We walked to the edge of a meadow,
With silence the only sound,
Then angels started singing,
And newborn faith was found.
You had healed a broken spirit,
You refreshed a tired soul,
You gently touched a weary face,
And instantly made me whole.
You graced me with a tender smile,
As You said You had to go,
And as I watched You walk away,
I saw....the white rainbow.
The perfect arc just glistened,
In a star filled evening sky,
A masterpiece like no other,
You had put before my eye.
Walking back along the path,
The evening now was bright,
My heart just touched by Your grace,
Was warmed now by Your light.

Truly a spritual journey, and sometimes it's just a short path not too far away. This is really lovely.
