A Friend sent me a book today
A pleasant li'l surprise,
A Gift of Love and kindness
Her Care it emphasized.

A beautiful blank journal
With a Scripture on each page,
And a pen to fill it in
Sent me, to encourage.

And it visualized our friendship
One of mutual concern,
In which loving advice is given
And room to decide and learn.

As each page has a scripture
It is as if to say,
Fill moment with God's Love
And don't forget to pray.

I thank God for her friendship
A Blessing it has been,
I hope too, that I am to her
A friend, who was sent by Him.

A Friend sent me a book today
It came straight from her heart,
I am most blessed, by such a friend
I will seek to do my part.

No Better Place do I know
Than where Hearts knit as
one,
For in that grand
experience,
The Better ALL become.
