When God made angels, did He smile And watch them fly around awhile? I wonder why He gave them wings? For He, who's Master of all things, Could make them float around without The aid of wings, there is no doubt! Perhaps the beauty of the shape That's found in everything alate, Seemed perfect for the angel horde Created for us by the Lord And sent by Him from up above Another miracle of love! I love this! You have made my day a little lighter and filled with wonder, thank you for that! Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Questions in a poem just make you think. I like to try to put them in mine too. I love this. Though I don't believe angels have wings. I believe they look just like we do, for when we die, we are the angels (messangers of God) This was a sweet poem filled with the wonder of God. I love it! ![]() I wrote one also about angels.I Was Lifted Up On Angels Wings. |

Dear BSC, ellie Le Jeune and Romy: Thanks for reading my poem and commenting favorably on it. White Dove: Thanks for your comments also. I believe angels do have wings, as I know two reputable people who claim to have seen one. In both cases they had wings that swept from shoulder to floor. I wish it had been me!! Both of these people were suffering greatly at the time, emotionally, Maybe they were hallucinating? Betty Lou Hebert |

Trillium, Your poem's light, like perhaps angels must be with their wings.... You know, I never thought much about it before and you're right as I look at creation in a slightly different light.... from God's perspective, what I can imagine to be, and He does have quite a sense of humor making such strange creatures such as angels and ourselves. Thanks Lighthousebob. I agree that God must have a wonderful sense of humor and I'm glad he passed some of that on to people, aren't you? Betty Lou Hebert |
