The events of the crucification are very well known.
As I ponder on the details, a new blessing is shown
The thorns upon His head, they thought a befitting crown.
Paints a picture of the sin which is all around.
And just as the thorn, sin will bring you pain.
Seeking your own way through the thorns, will only be in vain.
Fear not,for as you look at the thorns that surround
Remember in the center,Jesus Christ was found!
By His hands and feet He was hung the Roman way
They placed His arms wide open, just as they are today !
His feet bound by nails, into the wooden cross.
Follow His path, not our own, lest we become lost.
And this man, of which they were so ashamed,
Was high above the crowd, and above us all He remains
The vinegar they offered Him was only to add more pain
But it shows me the things of this world, are all offered in vain.
All that man can give, will turn bitter in your heart
None can be taken when it's time for you to part.
The only thing that may enter the Kingdom of God is your soul
To begin your life, He gave you one of which you have control.
He will not force you, to accept His precious Son
But if you want to be with Him that is what must be done.

Kim; this is so incredibly inspiring! You have given new meaning to all he suffered, and you did it gloriously too. Ellie

Very intense and so full of the truth.  It is not much to ask for when you consider the gift of eternity but it seems that way in the world around us doesn't it?  You did a wonderful job here of bringing this message to us.

I want to thank you all for saying such nice things. I have not been here much, I have been working on my site, never knew it would be so much work
I wrote this because my dad said that the Bible speaks through example alot. and so I starting thinking about the way the Lord died,I wondered why thorns, and why was this all told in such detail. when it could have been said, they killed Him, And when I sought an answer, this is the one given to me, Again, thank you all so very much, without the encouraging nudge of a kind word, oft a heart can grow quite weary and cease to dream.Have a God day !

A wonderful object lesson that the Lord has given you of His death upon the cross.

Your two lines of poetry that stood out the most for me was:

By His hands and feet He was hung the Roman way
They placed His arms wide open, just as they are today !

To me, this is an expression of His great Love for the world in that he could have called legions of angels to take Him down, but there He remained for you and me with arms wide open.   beautiful!   Love in Christ, Bob <><
