I looked out through the window,
As a blizzard raged outside,
I saw You walking toward me,
With an oh, so graceful stride.
I quickly ran to meet You,
And You sheltered me in Your arms,
Warming me from the inside out,
Shielding me from life's harms.
We walked a while in silence,
As pine trees dressed in white,
Bowed as if in total awe,
At the presence of Your sight.
Your hand reached up just in time,
To catch a shivering a bird,
A beautiful, scarlet cardinal,
Whose pleas....only You heard.
Soon a tiny squirrel ran up,
Then a bunny, and a fawn,
You sheltered every one of them,
As the darkness turned to dawn.
And the snow began to fall harder,
Seeming swirled as if in a globe,
As You sat and sheltered the wee ones,
In Your soft, white velvet robe.
My cold heart quickly melted,
As I saw the smile on Your face,
This new day, just beginning,
Already filled with Your grace.

Ah,Bonnie; You've created a warm and loving portrait in the middle of the cold and snow. The warmth of His Love is all we ever need. Beautiful, as always, my friend. Love Ellie

That was a beautiful poem. I will never walk in the snow again without thinking of it.I do so love the snowy days. Suzanne

Bonnie, you certainly know to bring the awesomeness of God. The warm, loving touch of God.

Bonnie,
What stunning beauty I see in the tender words you write. A beautiful picture as well.

This is beautiful that God's Grace is extended not only to us, but to the littlest of creatures and even to the whole world...
I do love your style that always brings such a Peace into my soul.  God Bless You,  Bob <><

This is one very encouraging poem, the images it puts into my heart are only the most assuring and beautiful of the love of Christ for us. When all looks cold and bleak, He will always come to us, to shelter is from any thing the cold world blows our way. God bless you and your wonderful heart.
